Meghalaya: BSF Seizes Huge Cattle at Indo-Bangladesh Border

The BSF troops recovered 12 cattle worth of more than Rs. 2.5 lac. These cattle were being smuggled from India to Bangladesh in Meghalaya.
The smugglers trying to smuggle cattle from the unfenced area but the alert BSF troops always foil their attempts.
It must be mentioned here that smugglers have also tried to smuggle cattle through fenced area by breaching the Indo-Bangladesh Border Fence at the several instances.
Similarly, in another incident the BSF troops deployed at Kuliang, East Jaintia Hills seized 10 cattle(including six buffalos) worth of more than Rs. 1.5 lac while being smuggled from India to Bangladesh.
The BSF troops have countered the smugglers very effectively and none of their nefarious designs or mischievous adventures were allowed to succeed. The BSF has taken a series of measures to curb cattle smuggling along the border.
The BSF has seized 121 Nos cattle, and contraband items worth more than Rs. 23 Lacs, while being smuggled out from India to Bangladesh on the International Border along Meghalaya since last week from various border town.
