Nagaland:  Cars and property burnt in Pre poll Violence

In a pre-poll violence in Wokha town last night six vehicles were burnt down and other property of the families of one intending candidate damaged. However, no one was injured.

Official sources today said the family members of one aspiring candidate from Wokha Assembly Constituency Y M Humtsoe were attacked reportedly by supporters of another candidate last night.

According to the victim’s family, a mob gathered at both the houses of Humtsoe’s father and brother and wrecked their property, besides setting some vehicles afire.

Three cars were burned and the mob also torched stacked timber meant to be used as firewood. At the brother’s place, three more cars were damaged by the mob, sources said
