INDORE- A video is going viral on Instagram where a woman can be seen dancing at a busy traffic signal in Indore city of Madhya Pradesh. After video goes viral in social media, the authorities have served her notice about violating traffic rules.
The woman, identified as Shreya Kalra, shared the video on her Instagram account four days ago, from where it quickly went viral. The video shows Ms Kalra, dressed in black, running across the road to a zebra crossing as cars slowed to a halt. She then danced to Woman by Doja Cat, even as commuters waiting at the traffic signal looked bemused by her performance.
The video was filmed at Rasoma Square in Indore. At the beginning of the clip, the Instagrammer also filmed herself at a public place without a mask – something which several social media users criticised her for.
Long after the video went viral, Shreya also modified the caption of her post and said, “Please do not break the rules – the red sign means you have to stop at the signal not because I’m dancing and wear your masks guys.”
So far, the video has more than 25,000 views and 21,000 likes on it. While many users praised Shreya for her dance and killer moves, there were others who criticised her actions – for dancing on the street on a dare and not wearing a mask in public.
Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra has said that action will be taken against the woman under the Motor Vehicles Acts. “Whatever her intentions were, it was wrong. I will issue an order to take action against her under Motor Vehicles Acts, to stop such incidents in the future,” Mr Mishra was quoted as saying by news agency ANI.
