Assam: Army dedicates Toilet Blocks for Girls School in Chirang
The Toilet Block was inaugurated by Veer Nari Smt Hareshwari Devi, Bijni and Chairman VCDC Ullubari in presence of around 200 student and school staff.

As part of Project Sadbhavana , Army unit at Chirang constructed a Toilet Block for girls in Ullubari High School, Bijni district Chirang of Assam. The Toilet Block was inaugurated by Veer Nari Smt Hareshwari Devi, Bijni and Chairman VCDC Ullubari in presence of around 200 student and school staff.
The Army’s initiative behind this Operation Sadbhavna Project was aimed at promoting Govt’s Swacch Bharat Abhiyaan. Three Sanitary Pad Dispenser machines were also donated as part of hygiene project.
The school Principal thanked Army for its yeoman service. The ceremony included interaction with the students and villagers where in need for personal, environmental hygiene, effective sanitation and perils of open defecation were highlighted.
The initiative like these will motivate girls student to continue their studies and contribute to Nation’s march to become a prosperous Country.
