Assam: Army organised Red Horn Premier League in Tamulpur

The Red Horn Premier League (RHPL) is an initiative by Indian Army under operation Sadbhavana.

GUWAHATI-  Red Horns Division of Indian Army organised a football tournament ‘Red Horns Premier League’ (RHPL) Football competition from 19 March 2022 to 26 March 2022 in the newly formed Tamulpur District of BTC. General Officer Commanding, Red Horns Division kick started the inaugural match between Tamulpur Girls FC and RBFC Dimakuchi at the football field of Diglipara Army Camp amidst an electrifying opening ceremony.

The Red Horn Premier League (RHPL) is an initiative by Indian Army under operation Sadbhavana. This event in being organised with an aim to tap the unexplored potential of the youth in BTR and to spread goodwill and  unity among the local populace. This event provides a platform to the youth of Assam in the Bodoland Territonal Region (BTR) and adjoining districts to pursue their passion for football and demonstrate their skill and talent.

It’s a unique tournament for both girls & boys wherein a total of 08 Girls Football teams and 16 boys football teams are participating in the event. The Winners & Runners Up teams for both categories will be awarded with prize money of Rs  1,00,000 and Rs 50,000 respectively in addition to the individual prizes for Best Player & Best Goal Keeper.
