Assam CM Sarbananda Sonowal on Thursday condemned the Grenade blast in Demow town and said that culprit will not be left scot-free.

In view of the subversive incident that took place at Demow chariali in Sivasagar district today evening, Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal strongly condemned the act and said that miscreants responsible for the killing will not be left scot-free and strictest punishment will be handed out.
The Chief Minister reacting on the incident from New Delhi termed the incident as an act of cowardice. He said that DGP has been directed to take immediate measures to nab the culprits involved in the incident.
The Chief Minister also expressed sympathy with the bereaved families of the deceased.
BJP Spokesperson Promod Swami also condemned the blast and appealed the govt to take action against the culprit.

Two person killed after suspected militants hurled a grenade at a shop Demo town. The blast took place at a hardware shop in a market in Demow town.
One person who was a customer died on the spot, identified as Anup Gupta. While the shop owner Kamal Agarwalla who was critical injured declared dead in Assam Medical College, Dibrugarh.
Police suspected the ULFA(I) is behind the Blast.
