Assam: Mizoram bound truck reportedly vandalised by locals in Cachar
GUWAHATI- Amid the appeal of Assam Chief Minister Dr Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma to the people of Barak valley to allow the movement of traffic to Mizoram, people reprtedly vandalized Mizoram bound mini goods truck on Friday evening, reports from Barak Valley said.
The trucks from Assam were expected to ply to Mizoram. But the locals are not happy with the situation and said they will stop the vehicles from travelling to Mizoram, the report said.
A Video goes viral in social media, showing A mizoram bound mini goods truck was allegedly vandalized by locals at Bhaga Bazar of Cachar district on Friday evening.
Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has made an appeal to the people to allow vehicles to move to Mizoram.
Taking to his Twitter CM Sarma wrote “We must, however, move on, on the path of peace and progress. While we stand committed to protect the constitutional boundaries, I would appeal to our people to allow movement of goods to Mizoram.@ZoramthangaCM @AmitShah”, added CM Sarma.

Assam government on Thursday had withdrawn the travel advisory asking people not to visit Mizoram.
