Assam: Nagaon Boy drowned in Kameng river in Arunachal

A young boy belongs to Nagaon of Assam who was on a picnic trip at Bhalukpong area of West Kameng reportedly drowned in Kameng river.

Bhalukpong Police Station OC Butto Bagra when contacted said that the young boy who was drowned in kameng river was with  team from Nagon district Assam were on a picnic trip in Bhalukpong  area.

He said that a written complaint was received from one Subir Dutta of Nagaon, Assam.  that,  he was along with 26 other friends came to Tippi from Nagaon for picnic and one of his friends namely Vishal Sutradhar age 19years s/o Vasan Sutrahar of vill-Dhing Bhakatgaon, Nagaon went to Kameng river to take bath and got drowned.

The complaint is under enquiry vide Bakukpong PS GDE No 19 dated 5/1/19 and regular case shall be taken up if body recovered.

On received of information, joint search operation conducted by police, Pakke wildlife staff and public but body could not be located. The search operation discontinued due to darkness .

Bagra inform that the search will continue early tomorrow to trace the body.
