GUWAHATI- Cadets of 50 Assam Air Sqn NCC visited the SOS Children’s village located at new airport road, Borjhar in Guwahati. The Cadets interacted with the inmates and express their solidarity and goodwill.
This is a unique way adopted by the NCC, where the cadets, apart from the usual training are also taught how to become a better citizen of our country by becoming more humane, considerate and a responsible human being.
NCC Cadets also hand over gifts and also show their moral support, as the children staying in the village don’t have parents and genuinely require the support of the nation. The event was a big success as the cadets were very enthusiastic about the event and kind towards the children of the village.
After witnessing the successful and cheerful interaction of the cadets with the children, the Commanding Officer of 50 Air Squadron NCC, Group Captain Robin Vishoyi, informed that the unit would organise more such interactions and football matches in future between cadets and children of SOS village.
He also motivated the children of the village to join the NCC as cadets after meeting the required qualities. He assured that full support will be provided by the unit to motivate, train and guide the eligible children to join the NCC.
