Assam: Red Horn Division organises National Integration Tour for students

A National Integration Tour from Harihajan, East Karbi Anglong to Kolkata was organised by unit of the Red Horns Division from 03 – 10 July 2018. A total of 30 students and three teachers were part of the tour and visited the city of Kolkata.
The tour was organised with an aim of acquainting school children with rich heritage and culture of the country.
As part of the tour, students visited Eden Gardens, Victoria Memorial, MP Birla Auditorium and other places of interest like the Science City, NICCO park and Alipore Zoo.
The students also had an interaction with the GOC-in-C, Eastern Command who urged the students to excel in studies & dedicate their lives towards Nation Building.
Tour participants also visited Raj Bhavan where representatives of the tour had the opportunity to meet Keshari Nath Tripathi, the Governor of West Bengal.
The tour provided the children an opportunity to gain knowledge and expand their horizons.
The students expressed, “We had come out to explore the world outside Assam and that is exactly what we achieved.
To be able to see and be a part of places we had only heard and read about, makes this whole experience so enriching”.
The students also expressed their gratitude to the Army for providing them this opportunity to create lifetime memories and leaving everlasting impressions on the young minds.
