Assam Youth jumps into Brahmaputra from Bogibeel Bridge

DIBRUGARH-  A youth jumped from Bogibeel bridge into the river Brahmaputra in Dibrugarh this morning.

Reportedly the youth took lift in an Alto car going towards Arunachal Pradesh from Sukafa Tinali, Barabarua at around 7:30am today.

Suddenly, in the middle of the Bogibeel bridge, he stopped the car saying that he was vomiting. As the car stopped, the boy came out of the car and jumped into the river.

SDRF team pressed into service to trace the youth.  Rescue operations have begun.

Police have recovered some items including laptop and mobile phone at the spot.
