Assam down town University Concludes Two-Day Industry-Academia Interface with IBM, SAP, and Other Global Leaders, Equipping 400+ Students with Future-Ready Skills

GUWAHATI-  Assam down town University successfully concluded its impactful two-day industry-academia interface titled “From Campus to Corporate: Industry Interaction Sessions” at Radisson Blu Hotel, Guwahati.

The event, attended by over 400 students, featured immersive learning experiences led by global tech leaders including IBM, SAP, L&T EduTech, and VFS Global Academy.

Building on the momentum from Day 1’s focus on mechatronics and global employability, Day 2 spotlighted the digital revolution and its implications for career readiness. Key sessions covered in-demand domains such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Full Stack Development, Data Science, and Cloud ERP systems.

Key Highlights:

• IBM led expert sessions on AI, ethical technology, and Full Stack Development.
  • Swarnima Mitra, Data Scientist at IBM Career Education, inspired students with insights into AI trends, stating:
    “AI is not just about technology, it’s about impact. Our goal is to inspire students to innovate responsibly.”
  • Moitri Hazra, Full Stack Developer at IBM, conducted a hands-on workshop, adding:
    “Full Stack Development is a gateway to understanding technology end-to-end. The students’ enthusiasm was incredible.”
• SAP, represented by Deepak Rayapudi, Senior Manager – SAP Higher Education & Upskilling at SEED Infotech Ltd, delivered a compelling session on Cloud ERP systems and their pivotal role in enhancing enterprise agility.

• The program continued to emphasize experiential learning, with live case studies, panel discussions, and interactive Q&A sessions ensuring student engagement.
• A special felicitation ceremony recognized Class 10 and 12 board toppers scoring 90% and above, blending academic excellence with industry exposure.

With participants from B.Tech, BBA, MBA, BCA, and MCA programs, the “From Campus to Corporate” initiative has established a new standard in industry-academia partnerships in Northeast India, bridging the gap between theoretical education and real-world digital careers.
