Two Manipur Students Stabbed in Delhi’s Vijay Nagar; Three Suspects Nabbed

IMPHAL- Two students from Manipur, identified as Zerry and Shepherd, were seriously injured after being stabbed by a group of assailants in Northwest Delhi’s Vijay Nagar area on July 31, 2025, around 4 AM.
The incident occurred when the victims, both studying in Delhi—one preparing for government exams and the other a third-year BA (Political Science) student—stepped out to buy water from a local shop.

According to Delhi Police, four bike-borne individuals approached the students, hurled abusive language, and initiated a confrontation. The altercation escalated, resulting in one of the attackers stabbing Zerry in the abdomen and Shepherd in the left buttock.
A friend of the victims, Paoboi, also from Manipur, rushed them to Bara Hindu Rao Hospital for treatment, where they are recovering from serious injuries.

The Delhi Police have arrested two men, identified as Krishna and Krishna Kashyap, and apprehended a juvenile in connection with the attack. A fourth suspect remains at large, with police actively pursuing leads through CCTV footage, call detail records, and local sources.
An FIR has been registered at the Model Town Police Station under relevant sections of the law, and investigations are ongoing to apprehend the remaining suspect.
