Security Forces Arrest Four Militants Across Manipur, Intensify Search Operations
Manipur Police said the law-and-order situation remained normal over the past 24 hours as security forces conducted arrests, seizures and search operations across multiple districts.

IMPHAL- The overall law-and-order situation in Manipur remained normal during the last 24 hours, according to a press note issued by the Police Control Room, Manipur Police.
Security forces continued search operations and area domination exercises in fringe and vulnerable areas across districts. Intelligence-based combing, cordon and search operations were also carried out to identify and apprehend individuals allegedly involved in extortion and other criminal activities.
According to the police, two active cadres of PREPAK were arrested in Tengnoupal district on June 4. The arrested individuals were identified as Ningthoujam Thourangba alias Dingku alias Goro (29) and Ahongshangbam Momocha Singh alias Paikhomba (20).

On June 5, security forces arrested an active member of the PLA, identified as Huidrom Boyboy Singh (28), from Kakching district. Police said he was allegedly involved in arms smuggling and in putting up banners, flags and posters. Incriminating items were reportedly seized from his possession.
In a separate operation on the same day, security personnel arrested an active cadre of the KCP (MFL), identified as Thangjam Diya Singh alias Manimatum (26), from Imphal West district. Authorities said incriminating materials were recovered during the operation.
The police also reported several enforcement actions. A vehicle carrying tobacco products was seized in Kakching district, while another vehicle transporting suspected WY tablets weighing approximately 46.37 kg, including packaging, was intercepted and seized at Leingangpokpi under Jiribam district.

Meanwhile, unidentified armed miscreants allegedly attacked Loibol Khullen village in New Keithelmanbi area on June 5. Three persons reportedly succumbed to bullet injuries during the incident. Six to seven houses and two vehicles were also set on fire. Security forces have launched cordon and search operations in the surrounding areas to identify and apprehend those involved.
Authorities said the movement of 571 vehicles carrying essential commodities along National Highway-37 was ensured under security arrangements. Additional protection was provided in vulnerable and sensitive stretches to facilitate safe transportation.
To strengthen security monitoring, a total of 114 checkpoints and naka points were installed across hill and valley districts of the state.
The police appealed to the public not to believe rumours or unverified videos circulating on social media. Citizens were advised to verify information through official channels and refrain from sharing misleading content. Authorities also reiterated their appeal for the return of looted arms, ammunition and explosives to the nearest police station or security force unit.
