Assam: Police Raid Spa in Guwahati Over Illegal Activities

GUWAHATI- Police conducted raids at a spa centre in Guwahati on Tuesday following specific inputs alleging that illegal activities were being carried out under the cover of wellness services. The operation was undertaken by a team of city police personnel, including women police officers.

According to officials, the raid was carried out as part of routine enforcement and verification measures aimed at ensuring compliance with licensing and operational norms. During the operation, several individuals present at the premises were questioned, and documents related to the functioning of the spa were seized for examination.

Police said the establishment was allegedly operating in violation of prescribed guidelines. Statements of staff members and customers were recorded as part of the preliminary inquiry.
