Assam down town University Hosts ‘Campus to Corporate 2026’ to Prepare Students for Future Careers

GUWAHATI- Assam down town University successfully organised Campus to Corporate 2026, an initiative aimed at preparing students for future professional opportunities through career guidance, industry interaction and academic recognition.
The event brought together students, parents, academicians, industry experts, career mentors and alumni under one platform to discuss career planning, industry expectations and the importance of skill development in an increasingly competitive job market.
According to the organisers, the programme was conceptualised to help students understand the relevance of early career planning and industry exposure while also creating awareness about emerging professional opportunities and evolving corporate trends.

One of the major highlights of the event was a felicitation ceremony recognising meritorious students from Classes 10 and 12 for their academic achievements. University officials stated that the recognition was intended to motivate students towards academic excellence and informed career decision-making.
The programme featured sessions by academic leaders, corporate professionals and career mentors who shared insights on career readiness, digital transformation, professional growth, international opportunities and industry alignment.

Speakers at the event included Dr. M.K. Modi, Prof. Pranveer Singh, Dipankar Talukdar, HDFC Bank official Dipankar Talukdar, Deepak Rayapudi of SEED Infotech Ltd, Karuna Kanta from the Directorate of International Affairs, Varsha Patwari from the Directorate of Career Advancement, STEM educator Dinesh Kr. Lahoti and Barsha Das, an alumna of the university currently serving as Associate Manager HR at HDFC Life.
Interactive sessions and alumni interactions enabled students to engage directly with professionals and gain a better understanding of workplace expectations, career opportunities and professional development pathways.
University officials described Campus to Corporate 2026 as a comprehensive initiative aimed at bridging the gap between academic learning and industry requirements through mentorship, guidance and exposure-based learning.
The university further stated that the initiative reflects its continued commitment to equipping students with the knowledge, confidence and practical understanding required to become future-ready professionals in a rapidly changing employment landscape.
