Assam down town University Celebrates 900+ Placement Offers at Success Meet 2026
The university’s Directorate of Career Advancement organised “Success Meet 2026” in Guwahati to celebrate placement achievements, industry partnerships, and student success stories.
GUWAHATI- Assam down town University organised “Success Meet 2026” on Friday to celebrate the placement achievements of its graduating batch for the academic session 2025-26. The event, hosted by the Directorate of Career Advancement, brought together students, parents, faculty members, recruiters, and university officials at the university campus in Guwahati.
According to the university, students secured more than 900 placement offers during the ongoing recruitment cycle, with participation from 121 companies representing sectors such as information technology, banking, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, retail, and consumer goods.
The university stated that the highest salary package offered this year stood at ₹9 lakh per annum, while the average package was recorded at ₹4.60 lakh per annum. More than 250 offers reportedly crossed the ₹5 lakh per annum mark, reflecting increasing recruiter engagement with institutions in Northeast India.

Major recruiters included companies such as HCLTech, PwC, LTIMindtree, Asian Paints, Wipro, Larsen & Toubro, HDFC Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Sun Pharma and Lenskart, among others.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Rimjhim Baruah Borah, Director (i/c), Directorate of Career Advancement, said the university has focused on strengthening employability through skill development, mentorship, industry exposure, and career guidance initiatives. She also highlighted the role of collaboration between students, faculty members, parents, and recruiters in improving placement outcomes.

Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Narayan Chandra Talukdar, in his address, congratulated the placed students and urged them to remain adaptable and committed to continuous learning in an evolving employment landscape. He also spoke about the importance of ethics, resilience, and leadership in professional life.
The programme featured interactions with placed students and parents, who shared their experiences during the recruitment process. A felicitation ceremony was also organised to recognise students for their placement achievements.

The event was held under the theme, “From aspirations to accomplishments, every success story begins here,” reflecting the university’s emphasis on career-oriented education and industry integration.
With placement numbers continuing to grow, the university said it aims to further expand collaborations with recruiters and strengthen career opportunities for students from Northeast India.
