Randeep Hooda Continues Flood Relief Work in Assam
Actor Randeep Hooda continued his flood relief efforts in Assam's Sivasagar district, distributing essential supplies and urging people to support those affected by the devastating floods.
SIVASAGAR (ASSAM): Actor Randeep Hooda continued his flood relief work in Assam by participating in a humanitarian assistance programme organised by NGO Global Sikhs in the flood-affected district of Sivasagar.
On Saturday, Hooda distributed rations and other essential supplies to displaced families taking shelter at the Sivasagar Railway Station. He also visited Gurudwara Sahib, Sivasagar, where he offered prayers for the well-being of people affected by the floods.
Speaking to the media while serving food through a community langar, the actor said relief work has been continuing for the past seven days.

“Humanity is above everything else. I have been working with the same team, Global Sikhs, for many years, and the groundwork they lay is amazing. I would urge everybody to contribute in whichever way they can to help people, not just here, but wherever there is a problem. As human beings, it is our duty to help our fellow human beings,” Hooda said.

The National Film Award-winning actor said the relief team had assessed the immediate needs of flood-affected families and was distributing kits containing essential items such as food, mattresses and tarpaulins.
He added that volunteers were also identifying families who had not yet received assistance to ensure relief reached those still in need.
According to official figures, the floods in Assam have claimed 82 lives and displaced millions of people, prompting relief efforts by government agencies, voluntary organisations and local communities across the state.
