Assam: Army apprehended NSLA Insurgents

Kokrajhar

Three insurgents belonging to the National Santhal Liberation Army ( NSLA ) -Anti talk faction were apprehended in an  Intelligence based surgical operation was conducted jointly by the Army in conjunction with the local police and COBRA Battalion in Kokrajhar on the night of 12 Mar 18.

Amongst these apprehended includes their Commander in Chief, Dipak Hembrom  and two other insurgents named Bincy Murmu alias  Maranda and Sibastin Soren.

Search of the individuals led to recovery of one Pistol along with live ammunitions and other incriminating documents including stamps and demand notes. All three insurgents, particularly Dipak Hembrom have numerous joint cases of extortion and other anti national activities.
