GUWAHATI – Journalist Dilwar Hussain Mazumdar was granted bail by the Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) Court on Friday in connection with case number 111/25, against a surety of ₹20,000. However, procedural delays postponed his release until formalities were completed.

Even as Mazumdar secured bail, Guwahati Police filed a petition before the CJM Court seeking to add charges under the SC/ST Act and additional provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) related to financial claims.
