Assam: Kukis celebrates 18th Chavang Kut Festival

The Kuki Communities of Guwahati and adjoining areas today Celebrated The 18th Chavang Kut Festival at Srimanta Kalakshetra in Guwahati. The event  includes colourful Traditional dance in their traditional attires which was magnificiently displayed by all.

It may be mentioned here that the Kukis are spread over the North eastern states of Assam, Nagaland and Manipur having their own customs and traditions.

The Chavang Kut is the main festival of the Chin- Kuki tribes which show case the  fulfillment of rich harvest after prolong labour. The same event is celebrated all across Kuki dominated places of Manipur, Nagaland and Assam.
