Assam lynching case: 16 arrested, CM ordered high level enquiry



Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal has ordered a high-level enquiry into the Dokmoka mob lynching case, on the other hand Assam Police have arrested 16 people in connection with this incident.

It must be mention here that  two Guwahati-based youths were brutally killedby a mob suspicion of being child lifters in Karbi Anglong district.

Through twitter, Sonowal said, “I urge everyone to maintain peace and social harmony and not to fall prey to rumours. Police have already arrested 5 suspects. We won’t spare anyone and strictest of punishment will be given to the culprits”.

Assam Health minister Himanta Biswa Sharma also stated that this an unfortunate incident. The spiralling cases of rumours through social media & WhatsApp pose a threat to society & we all must get vigilant to curb it.

Meanwhile ss per the police source there was tension in the area following the incident but it is under control. Meanwhile, the police have arrested 16 people for their alleged involvement in the case .

  1. Who gave those illiterate inhumanity group of people to take the law in their own hands instead they can hold them and call the local cops for further actions.Its totally inhumanity n for that as per my point of view TIT for TAT should b implemented against those moron culprits….
