Assam: Martyr Kamala Miri Award presented to Punaram Mili

All India Tribal Students’ Association, Assam (AITSAA) presented Martyr Kamala Miri Award 2018 to renowned social worker Punaram Mili in presence of Anusuya Uikey, Vice Chairman of National Commission for Scheduled Tribes, New Delhi Govt of India today at Taj Vivanta, Guwahati.
The programme was jointly organised by All India Tribal Students’ Association, Assam (AITSAA) and The Assam Lutad daily newspaper jointly on the occasion of his 76th death anniversary of Martyr Kamala Miri.
In a press release Stated by AITSAA adviser Arindom Prince Panging and President Baburabha Hakasam said that, Martyr Kamala Miri was sacrifice his life for Indian freedom movement at Jorhat central Jail in 1942 on 23rd April.
On this auspicious occasion of Martyr Kamala Miri’s death anniversary AITSAA felicitated Kamala Miri Award 2018 to Punaram Mili, president of All India SC/ST Employees Welfare Association ONGC for his endeavors and unique contributions to the deprive and neglected society.
Public worker Punaram Mili is the Chairman of NEST foundation who was established various schools, Nursery, Junior college in remote area of Desangmukh, Sivasagar, make effort to upliftment of SC/ST people of Assam, improvement of infrastructure of private schools, college in Assam and across the India.
