Assam: NCC exhibition at Guwahati

Guwahati:  A NCC exhibition on the working and significance of National Cadet Corps  was organised at Rabindra Bhawan, Guwahati on 27th November 20. The event was marked as part of the  week long celebrations of NCC Day activities which is celebrated on the 4th Sunday of November every year.

The Exhibition included display of NCC activities conducted in the recent past and  to guide and motivate  the youth to join the NCC and the Armed Forces. The NCC cadets stole the limelight of the show with their dazzling arrangements in the NCC Exhibition.

The  event was attended by Maj Gen Ananta Bhuyan, ADG NCC NER Directorate  who  graced the event along with his wife Mrs Barali Bhuyan.  Speaking on the occasion the General brought out the importance of NCC to nurture discipline, pride for  national values in a student . He also highlighted the aspect of forthcoming NCC Expansion in North Eastern region which was being commemorated under the guidance of Hon’ble PM shortly.

The event was conducted by NCC Group Headquarters,  Guwahati under the realms of NCC Directorate North Eastern Region. Col Rajeev Verma, Deputy Commander NCC Gp HQ Guwahati was also present during the occasion.

NCC has really come a long way and has contributed significantly towards the growth of students fraternity who are the future of tomorrow’s India. The event was followed by 5th CHIMERA 2020 which was an International Mega cultural event for students . This was held under the auspices of Amrapali Society for arts under its founder curator Pranaame and adviser Rudro Bhagwati.
