Nirupam Chakma, Ex-Minister and National Council Member of BJP Mizoram Pradesh alleged that ” the Executive Committee of CADC led by CADC CEM Rasik Mohan Chakma of indulging in the same corruptions and irregularities against which he had protested when MNF was in opposition in the Chakma Autonomous District Council and remarked that the present Executive Committee of CADC has crossed all limits and also made the Chakma Council completely lawlessness.

Mr. Chakma stated that the Budget of CADC  is a mere salary Budget as above 93% of it is meant for salaries to the employees of CADC only and no adequate funds are kept for developmental works for the general public in CADC which is very much alarming. The present Executive Committee of CADC is facing an acute financial crisis having more than 28 crore deficit budget as reflected in the Budget speech of 2021 – 2022 and that is why presently the executive Committee is not in the position to fill such huge numbers of vacancies and to make any kind of new appointments.

He further stated that the illegal appointment issue in CADC is getting bigger day by day. Successive Executive Committees of CADC whosoever was in power only made appointments in favour of their wives, sons, daughters and daughter-in-laws and as a result all competent and eligible youths are deprived from the opportunities of recruitment for jobs in CADC. This corrupt practice needs to be stopped once for all and there is an ardent need to constitute an Independent Recruitment Board in CADC so that recruitment process are conducted in a free and fair manner, he added.
