Assam: RPF rescue minor boy, apprehended the kidnapper

Another tout arrested for selling railway tickets illegally

Guwahati:   Acting promptly on receiving information RPF/NFR rescued a 9-year-old minor boy along with his kidnapper before boarding train no. 05955 spl of 11.09.2020 from the Dibrugarh railway station. The kidnapper namely Raju Chhetry, resident of Mahadevpur, under dist: Namsai of Arunachal Pradesh reportedly ran away with the minor boy without the consent of his parent.

On getting the information Asst Sub Inspector/RPF/NFR Shri S. Pangging conducted a search at the Dibrugarh station with his staff and managed to apprehend the kidnaper with the minor boy. The minor boy is from Dewpani, Roing, dist: Lower Dibang Valley of Arunachal Pradesh. Both of them were later handed over to GRP/Dibrugarh for further course of action as per law.

It may be mentioned here that during the last three years, RPF / NFR successfully arrested more than 50 such traffickers along with the rescue of hundreds of minor children.

In another incident on receiving information about touting activity from the Danapur Division of East Central Railway, RPF/NFR led by Inspector/RPF/Rangapani under Katihar division conducted a joint raid with the local police of Bahadurganj, under Dist-Kishanganj (Bihar).

During the raid one person namely Fakar Ali Nazami (M/26 yrs) R/O- Desia Toli, P.O- Meharganj, P.S-Bahadurganj, Dist-Kishanganj (Bihar) was arrested from his shop for unauthorised procuring and supplying of Railway E-Tickets as well editing the tickets.

During the joint raid and search operation, 19 nos future railway e-tickets,( valued Rs- 57,008.20), one HP brand laptop, one mobile handset (Redmi Note 9 Pro with sim-9818208103 & 9955220707), and one laptop connector was seized.

A case has been registered in this connection at RPF/Post/Kishanganj vide case no-132/20, Dtd-11.09.2020 under section 143 of the Indian Railway Act.
