Vigilance Awareness Week Begins at Sector Coochbehar of  BSF

A week long vigilance awareness program is being observed by Sector Headquarter, Border Security Force and all its under command Units at Coochbehar from 30th October to 4th November, 2017, on the directions of the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC), New Delhi.

 The observance of the week long program commenced by administration of Vigilance Pledge by C L Belwa, Deputy Inspector General (DIG). Before administering the pledge he said that the objective of this program is to reaffirm our commitment to fight against unethical practices, blatant violation of systems and procedures and corruption prevailing at our work places. He emphasized the need for creating awareness on governance in the Force.

He also briefed the troops about the week-long program. All the staff in the headquarter and the battalions took a pledge to ‘continuously strive to bring about integrity and transparency in all spheres of official functioning, work for eradication of corrupt practices in all spheres of life, remain vigilant and work towards growth and reputation of the organization, bring pride to the organization through collective efforts and provide value-based service to our countrymen. BSF Officers should strive hard to perform their duties consciously and act without fear and favour.

The week long program will be observed by displaying banners, slogans and posters on anti-corruption themes at prime locations. A lecture on the subject of “My Vision-Corruption Free India”, a quiz and debate on the same topic will be organized during the week.

BSF celebrates Vigilance Awareness Week every year in conformity with the instructions of the Central Vigilance Commission.
