Akhil Gogoi gets 4 days Police Custody

Leaders of Krishak Mukti Sangra Samitee , Akhil Gogoi and Pradip Saloi have been produced before the court of Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Md. Imdad Ahmed in Dubrugarh on Thursday.
The court has remanded for 4 days police custody, However Dibrugarh police requested for 14 days remand.
It must be mentioned here that Akhil Gogoi was arrested by Dibrugarh police on Wednesday on charges of sedition. He was arrested for his speech about an armed struggle in Assam’s Moran town on Tuesday. He has also been accused of spreading religious animosity, police said.
Meanwhile Still tension prevails in Dibrugarh town and supporters of arrested leaders have still protesting before the police station.
