Army conducts ex-servicemen rally at Bengdubi
Ex-Servicemen from Nepal were felicitated underlining the deep association and showcasing their importance and vital link which contributes to the special relationship between India and Nepal.
BENGDUBI– An Ex-Servicemen rally was organized with gusto and enthusiasm at Bengdubi. Speaking at the event, Lt Gen AK Singh, General Officer Commanding, Trishakti Corps welcomed veterans including those from nearby districts of Nepal.Lt Gen Anil Chauhan, the General Officer Commanding in Chief, Eastern Command was the Chief Guest.
He lauded the bonhomie & enthusiasm displayed by the veterans and appreciated the significant contribution and sacrifices in service of the nation.
Veer Nari’s and Next of Kin of Soldiers who attained Martyrdom while in service were specially felicitated during the rally. Significantly all districts of North Bengal have contributed to the Services and the fact was visible during the award ceremony as also presence of Veterans from districts of Alipurdwar and North/ South Dinajpur.

The event was also used to address the concerns of Veterans regarding availing of various services and assisting them in resolving their issues online. To this effect, counters were established to address grievances of Veterans regarding pension, education of wards and financial management. A medical facility was also established by Base Hospital to address health issues.
