Assam: AAMSJF Calls For 24 Hours Chakka Bandh from Tomorrow
The chakka bandh will commence at 5 am on August 31 and end at 5 am on September 01, 2021.
GUWAHATI: The All Assam Motor Shramik Joint-Federation (AAMSJF )has called for a 24 hours chakka bandh across the state on August 31 to protest against the gruesome killing of 5 truck drivers in Doyangmukh village of Dima Hasao, Assam.
The chakka bandh will commence at 5 am on August 31 and end at 5 am on September 01, 2021. According to sources, the AAMSJF has requested the Assam government to provide an ex-gratia grant of Rs. 15,00,000 to each of the family of the deceased. In addition, the federation has demanded security for the drivers from the Assam government.
The horrific acts of the Dimasa National Liberation Army (DNLA) have been strongly criticized by the President of AAMSJF, Krishna Borah.
“Killing innocent people will never help the militant group,” Bora said.
It must be motioned here that ” On Thursday evening, four drivers and one handyman were killed after miscreants fired bullets at several trucks and set them on fire in Doyangmukh area of Dima Hasao. One person had been critically injured and had been taken to the hospital.
