Assam: Aaradhyaa Dhanuka Sets Dual Guinness World Record in Hula Hooping
She breaks previous record set by Viha Gedia from the United States of America.
GUWAHATI- Aaradhyaa Dhanuka, a 10 year old prodigy from Guwahati daughter of Swati – Dr. Ghanshyam Das Dhanuka and Grand Daughter of Kusum – Dr. Ashok Kumar Dhanuka, has etched her name in the esteemed Guinness World Records, earning the title of ‘Officially Amazing’. Aaradhyaa accomplished these remarkable feat by hula hooping for an incredible 21 minutes and 2 seconds around one arm at a 90 degrees angle, surpassing the previous record set by Viha Gedia from the United States of America.
The second record being able to spin 3 Hula hoops around her neck together for 4 minutes and 2 seconds.
These records were set on May 19, 2024, in the presence of official witnesses, adhering to the stringent guidelines of the Guinness World Records. Aaradhyaa’s extraordinary achievement is a testament to her unwavering dedication, relentless hard work, and fervent passion for hula hooping.

Aaradhyaa has been honing her hula hooping skills for the past several months and has already garnered recognition for her exceptional talents. She holds numerous records, including seven state records, three national records, and three world records, in addition to an honorary doctorate in sports.
“I am thrilled and honored to have my name in the Guinness World Records. The chief minister of Assam, Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, has been my motivator. After witnessing him achieve a Guinness World Record for the state for the largest Bihu Dance Performance and the largest performance by folk musicians with instruments on 13 th April 2023 I aspired to have one to my name,” said Aaradhyaa. “I hope to inspire others to pursue their passions and never give up on their dreams.”
Aaradhyaa’s achievement has been lauded as a remarkable feat, garnering congratulations from dignitaries and citizens alike. Her record-breaking performance has brought immense pride to the state of Assam and serves as an inspiration to the entire Nation.

She wishes to promote this sport in all communities, Age demographics and all the Indians as she strongly believes that Hula Hoop has numerous health benefits and every Indian should master the skill of the same. She has already embarked on the journey of teaching this skill to the under privileged kids from Mahatma Gandhi Buniyad Vidyalaya on Independence Day celebration.
