Assam: AdtU Partners with Delhivery to Launch BBA Specialization in Supply Chain Management

This three-year industry-integrated programme is designed to provide students with a blend of academic learning and practical exposure.

GUWAHATI— In a significant move toward aligning higher education with industry demands, Assam down town University (AdtU) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Delhivery, India’s leading logistics company, to launch a new BBA specialization in Supply Chain Management.

This three-year industry-integrated programme is designed to provide students with a blend of academic learning and practical exposure.

Under the collaboration, students will undergo two years of on-campus education followed by a one-year paid internship with Delhivery and its partner organizations across India.

Delhivery, which operates in over 18,000 pin codes and has delivered more than 3.5 billion parcels, brings its expansive logistics expertise to the academic framework.

The partnership aims to equip students with real-world skills in warehousing, freight, operations, and inventory management—backed by 100% placement support and industry-recognized certifications.

Speaking on the occasion, Prof. (Dr.) Narayan Chandra Talukdar, Vice Chancellor of AdtU, said, “This collaboration bridges the gap between theory and practice. Our students will gain unparalleled exposure to India’s most dynamic logistics environments, preparing them for leadership in the supply chain sector.”

Suraju Dutta, Senior Vice President – Global Partnerships at Delhivery, added, “This initiative is part of Delhivery’s broader strategy to nurture industry-ready talent. Embedding our training within academic programs ensures scalability and relevance as we expand to other universities nationwide.”

With India’s logistics industry valued at $11.6 trillion, this programme offers students a timely and strategic advantage. The curriculum includes real-time simulations, logistics hub immersions, and a clear career progression path within Delhivery—from entry-level executive roles to management positions.

Admissions for the programme are now open, marking a new chapter in academia-industry collaboration and talent development in India’s logistics landscape.
