In a successful operation carried out by the Red Horns Division of the Indian army apprehended an armed extremist from Karbi Anglong, Assam .

In continuation of sustained operations against militants and in bringing peace and tranquility in the Karbi Anglong region, troops of the Red Horns Division deployed in East Karbi Anglong apprehended one armed extremist from General Area Lahorijan on 09 October 2018 in a joint operation with Assam Police.
Based on intelligence received regarding presence of one armed extremist in Lahorijan, Army and Assam Police launched a joint operation at around 2100hrs on 09 October 2018.
The operation resulted in apprehension of one armed extremist & recovery of five Factory made .22mm Pistols & ammunition.
