No major untoward incidents marred the process in Assam, unlike minor tensions reported in Puducherry; ECI data and live updates confirmed largely incident-free voting, with authorities addressing isolated EVM glitches swiftly.
Special focus was on first-time voters (4.24 lakh aged 18-19) and seniors (over 2 lakh above 85), ensuring accessibility. The high turnout, surpassing previous benchmarks in many booths (some exceeding 95%), signals strong public engagement on issues like identity, development, and anti-incumbency.
Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma described the polls as a “historic movement” beyond politics, crediting it to Assam’s resolve to protect land, culture, and identity transcending caste and language divides. He highlighted unprecedented participation as a mandate for NDA’s governance record.

This single-phase election underscores Assam’s maturing democracy, with implications for Northeast regional dynamics under NDA’s Act East push.
