Assam: Man arrested for circulating objectionable post of PM Modi and HM Amit Shah in social media
Man arrested by Kokrajhar police of Assam in connection with circulating highly objectionable post against PM Modi and HM Amit Shah in social media.

Kokrajhar police has apprehended one Aziyar Rahman S/o Md. Nurjamal Sheikh of Singimari village under Fakiragram police station in Kokrajhar district for uploading and sharing objectionable contents/photos and derogatory contents/links as well as morphed photographs of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah in his timeline of his own Facebook account.
Kokrajhar police official said on 13/08/2019, it was noticed that some highly objectionable and derogatory contents/links as well as morphed photographs of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah are being displayed/shared through online social media portals.
On the basis of this information, Fakiragram PS Case No: 98/2019 U/S 120(B)/153/153(A)/294/506 IPC R/W Sec. 66 IT Act, 2000 was registered.
During detail investigation corroborated by technical analysis, it was found that Aziyar Rahman had uploaded and shared such objectionable contents/photos in his timeline of his own Facebook account.

A search operation was carried out by Kokrajhar Police and subsequently the accused Aziyar Rahman was apprehended from Shakti Ashram market area under Fakiragram PS of Kokrajhar district.
On spot interrogation, he admitted of uploading as well as shared objectionable and derogatory contents/photos in his timeline.
One MI Note 5 Mobile Handset ( Colour: Black), Two no. of SIM Cards ( One BSNL and One Reliance JIO) were seized from him.
He was produced before Court of District & Sessions Judge, Kokrajhar.
